The media can also be partly to blame. If they report that the economy takes a blow or is suffering a slowdown, people tighten their pockets and don't spend as much opening an opportunity for the Illuminati.
I also believe that the Illuminati has had something to do with the banking crisis. I believe that they got greedy with peoples money to make more money to help fund 'The New World Order'. They noticed something was up so funneled money out of the banks so they would collapse. This also ties into their plan to overthrow the 'Old World Order' and 'Population Control' as more people become homeless and more likely to become ill and die. The plan was probably to cripple local councils and governments and make them weak for an attack. We believe that this will be coming on 21.12.12 as the Mayans predicted. It will not be the end of the world, but the beginning of the end.
By doing this the Illuminati can do two things: 1) A goal to change the current Order ("The Old World Order"), which is considered evil and anti-survival, and therefore the current power elite needs to be overthrown and their Old World Order to be destroyed and replaced by a benevolent "New World Order". The goal is a humanity-friendly One World Government. The means to overthrow the current Old World Order is by violence, if necessary.
2) A goal to reduce the world population to 500 million people in order to create a micro-chipped total enslaved society and a One World Government, run like a world dictatorship.
